They looked to have taken the lead on 8 mins, when a neat one-two between Lee Gilmour and Mark Bell had the second rower going over, but the touch-judge intervened and ruled a forward pass. On 32 mins, Danny Moore beat matt Toshack on a chase for a ball that was lying in the Broncos' in-goal area, but when the video referee was called upon, he rules that Moore had knocked-on over hte line.
Just 2 - 0 to Wigan at the break and whilst they had the majority of the play, they were finding it hard to break down a tough Broncos' defence.
London took the lead just after the re-start, after a knock-on by Kris Radlinski gave the Broncos good field position. They threw the ball put to the left and Martin Offiah just squeezed in at the corner. Terry Matterson hit the conversion from the touchline, to stun the Central Park faithfuls. the Warriors were not going to be outdone and they got their noses back in front on 53 mins, when Robbie McCormack off-loaded in a tackle close to the Brnocos' line and Tony Smith, despite juggling with the ball, eventually caught it and fell over the line.
London's defence was tiring visibly by now and the Warriors were soon back on the attack. Andy Farrell turned the ball back on the inside and Lee Gilmour went straight over. When Wigan scored their third try of the game on 66 mins, courtesy of substitute Paul Johnson, on 66 mins, the game was really over.
Matt Toshack gave London a glimmer of hope with a try on 72 mins, but the final word went, deservingly so, to Wigan, with Danny Moore's first try in Super League.
