TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SALE

1.   Bidding

     a.   All bidders must pre-register prior to the commencement of the sale and they will receive a bidding card.

     b.   Provided that any "reserve price" has been met, the highest bidder for each lot shall be the purchaser and once a bid has been accepted by the auctioneer, it may not be withdrawn.

     c.   The auctioneer may accept "commission bids" from members of the Rugby League Collectors' Federation who are unable to attend the sale in person.

     d.   Commission bids will only be accept on items which the auctioneer deems to be fragile and unsuitable for the post, on the understanding that if successful, the bidder will collect such items from our Wakefield address.

     e.   In the event of two commission bidders submitting identical bids, the one received first will take precedence.

2.   Payment

     a.   The purchaser shall pay the hammer price, together with a "buyer's premium" of 10 per cent, at the close of the auction.

     b.   Payment must be made in cash or by cheque with a banker's guarantee card.  Payment by cheque without a card may be accepted at the auctioneer's discretion, but in such cases lots will not be released until the cheque has cleared and the purchaser will also bear the cost of any carriage or postage charges.

     c.    The Rugby League Collectors’ Federation has no credit card facilities.

3.   Catalogues

     a.   All statements given in this catalogue as to the authenticity, origin, date and condition of any lot, are statements of opinion only.  Purchasers are advised to satisfy themselves by inspecting the lots prior to the commencement of the sale and the principle of caveat emptor will apply.

     b.   The "Estimated Price" shown in the catalogue should be used as a guide only.  It does not necessarily reflect any reserve value placed on a lot.


COMMISSION BIDS

Commission bids will only be accepted from members of the Rugby League Collectors' Federation.

If you wish to make a commission bid on any lot, then you may do so by email.  These must be received by 12.00 noon on the day prior to the sale.

Please use the link below for the mail and please state clearly the following:

1.   Your name and postal address.

2.   The lot(s) that you want to bid for and the maximum amount(s) that you are willing to pay.  The auctioneer will then bid up to this amount(s) on your behalf.

You will be informed shortly after the sale of any lot(s) on which you were successful.  You will then be asked to forward your cheque for the hammer price, plus the 10 per cent buyer's premium and postage/carriage charges.
